The Western History Association's annual conference held in Helena on 14 Oct.1965 included a session concerning "Exploration in the West." Participants include Professor John Duffy of the University of California, Davis, who presents a paper entitled "Medical Practices of the Western Indians"; Professor Morgan Sherwood of Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, who gives a paper entitled "Science in Russian America to 1865"; Professor T.H. McDonald of Florida State University in Tallahassee, who speaks on "Sir Alexander MacKenzie's Exploration of the Canadian Northwest, 1789."
